Superplasticizer (High Range Water Reducer)

DESCRIPTION

POLYTANCRETE - NGT SP 1 is a specially formulated admixture based on organic polymer and selected additives . It is supplied as dark brown colored liquid miscible with water. It can be added to concrete mix at the job site or at ready mix concrete plant.

CONFORMANCE

Confirms to IS: 9103:1999 and ASTM –C 494M – 99a, 1999 Type A & F , as superplasticizer / high range water reducing admixture.

SALIENT FEATURES

1. Compressive strength at all ages increases by about 25 to 50 % Helps to reduce cement content for a given strength
2. Produces flowing concrete with better than normal strength.
3. Improves workability and makes concrete denser and impermeable
4. Developes higher early strength than that required in precast work with OPC (Type 1) cement.
5. Increases cohesion, minimizes segregation and bleeding, giving a better surface finish.
6. Reduces water content about 20 - 30 % for the same workability.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

POLYTANCRETE -NGT SP 1 is added to prewetted concrete mix at a rate of 0.4 to 0.6 Lt. per bag of cement. However actual site trials have to be carried out to determine the optimum dose for the intended application.

The measured quantity of POLYTANCRETE - NGT SP 1 is mixed with part of guaging water and then added to the mix. For further assistance in optimum dosage trials and design mix please contact our CONCRETE MATERIAL CONSULTANCY DIVISION ( CMCD ).

The following results were obtained under normal laboratory conditions.
Mix Design : M-20
Cement - 307 Kg/m³.
Sand Zone II - 38 %
Coarse Aggregate (5-20 mm ) - 62 %

Compatibility

Compatible with all types of cement It is also compatible with other SUNANDA’S CONCRETE ADMIXTURES , but should be added separately to the mix.

Packing

5, 20 and 200 Lts. HDPE / M.S. containers.

Storage And Shelf Life

It has a shelf life of 12 months when stored in original containers in a cool, dry place.

Health & Safety

POLYTANCRETE - NGT SP 1 is non toxic, non hazardous. Usual precautions like wearing gloves and goggles when handling should be followed. Accidental NGT SP 1 splashes on skin and in eyes should be washed off with plenty of plain water. If necessary seek medical advice.
