CONCRETE ADMIXTURES - POLYTANCRETE - WR
Water Reducing Admixture

GENERAL

POLYTANCRETE - WR is specially formulated admixture based on sulfonated naphthalene polymer . It is supplied as dark brown colored liquid miscible with water.

CONFORMANCE

Confirms to IS: 9103:1999 and ASTM – C 494M – 99a, 1999 Type A as water reducing admixture.

SALIENT FEATURES

1. Compressive strength at all ages increases by about 15 to 25%
2. Due to increased workability, placing and compaction is easier.
3. Resultant savings in time and cost.
4. At same workability cohesive concrete having improved impermeability and reduced shrinkage in hardened state.
5. Increases early strength gain with normal setting.

APPLICATIONS

1. Ready mix concrete
2. Light weight concrete
3. Safe for use in prestressed and reinforced concrete.
4. Casting of columns, bridge decks, dams and any slip forming

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

POLYTANCRETE - WR is added to prewetted concrete mix at a rate of 0.2 to 0.4 Lt. per bag of cement .However actual site trials have to be carried out to determine the optimum dose for the intended application.

The measured quantity of POLYTANCRETE - WR is mixed with part of guaging water and then added to the mix. For further assistance in optimum dosage trials and design mix please contact our CONCRETE MATERIAL CONSULTANCY DIVISION (CMCD).

Compatibility

Compatible with all types of cement It is also compatible with other SUNANDA’S CONCRETE ADMIXTURES , but should be added separately to the mix.

The following results were obtained under normal laboratory conditions.
Mix Design : M-20
Cement - 307 Kg/m³.
Sand Zone II - 38 %
Coarse Aggregate (5-20 mm ) - 62 %

Packing

5, 20 and 200 Lts. HDPE / M.S. containers.

Storage And Shelf Life

It has a shelf life of 12 months when stored in original containers in a cool , dry place.
