GENERAL
POLYTANCRETE – R is specially formulated admixture based on sulfonated napthalene polymer, lignosulfonates and carbohydrates . It is supplied as dark brown colored liquid miscible with water.
CONFORMANCE
Conforms to IS - 9103:1999 and ASTM – C 494M – 99a, 1999 Type B & D as water reducer cum retarding admixture
SALIENT FEATURES
- Initial set is delayed which makes proper placement and finishing without development of cold joints in hot weather concreting possible.
- Lower W/C ratios results in increased compressive, flexural strength, durability and impermeability.
- Controlled temperature rise and hence reduced thermal cracking.
APPLICATIONS
- Ready mix concrete
- High quality concrete where predictable and controlled setting time is desired.
- Safe for use in prestressed and reinforced concrete.
- Flatwork, horizontal and vertical slip form concrete placement
- Hot weather concreting
- Where delay in transportation or placement is likely to occur as in case of high rise buildings, chimneys, towers etc.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
POLYTANCRETE - R is added to prewetted concrete mix at a rate of 0.3 to 0.5 Lt. per bag of cement. However, actual site trials have to be carried out to determine the optimum dose for the intended application.
The measured quantity of POLYTANCRETE - R is mixed with part of gauging
water and then added to the mix. For further assistance in optimum dosage trials
and design mix please contact our CONCRETE MATERIAL CONSULTANCY DIVISION ( CMCD ).

Compatible with all types of cement It is also compatible with other SUNANDA’S CONCRETE ADMIXTURES, but should be added separately.

Storage And Shelf Life
It has a shelf life of 12 months when stored in original containers in a cool , dry place.
Health & Safety
POLYTANCRETE - R is non toxic, non - hazardous. Usual precautions like wearing gloves and goggles when handling should be followed. Accidental splashes on skin and in eyes should be washed off with plenty of plain water. If necessary seek medical advice. |
