CONCRETE ADMIXTURES - POLYTANCRETE - AEA
Air Entraining Admixture

GENERAL

POLYTANCRETE – AEA is an aqueous solution of highly purified and modified salts of a sulphonated hydrocarbon. It provides stable and predictable air contents in concrete, with uniform air bubbles spacing throughout the concrete mix. It is supplied as brown colored liquid, dispersible in water.

CONFORMANCE

Conforms to IS: 9103:1999 and ASTM – C 260 – 00, as Air–Entraining Admixtures for Concrete.

SALIENT FEATURES

  1. Improved durability, particularly to freezing and thawing cycles.
  2. Improved workability and placeability at same w/c ratio.
  3. Increased resistance to scaling.
  4. Reduces bleeding, shrinkage, and segregation.

APPLICATIONS

  1. Whenever air concrete is desired like Ready-mix, Precast and block producers etc.
  2. Concrete used in low temperature region.
  3. Concrete using high - alkali cements
  4. Exterior concrete work exposed to freeze/ thaw conditions.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

POLYTANCRETE - AEA is added to prewetted concrete mix at a rate of 0.1 to 0.3 % by weight of cement. However actual site trials have to be carried out to determine the optimum dose for the intended application. The measured quantity of POLYTANCRETE – AEA is mixed with part of gauging water and then added to the mix. For further assistance in optimum dosage trials and design mix please contact our CONCRETE MATERIAL CONSULTANCY DIVISION ( CMCD ).

Typical Analysis

Appearance : Dark brown colored liquid
pH : 11 to 14
