CONCRETE ADMIXTURES - POLYTANCRETE - IWL

 

DESCRIPTION

POLYTANCRETE - IWL is specially formulated admixture, based on organic polymer with other chemicals. It is supplied as light brown colored liquid, dispersible in water. It reacts with water soluble compounds, present in concrete / mortar and converts into insoluble, stable silicates and forms internal barrier against water penetration.

CONFORMANCE

Confirms to IS : 2645 – 1975. SPECIFICATION FOR INTEGRAL CEMENT WATERPROOFING COMPOUNDS.

SALIENT FEATURES

  1. Reduces water permeability of concrete / mortar upto 60 % .
  2. Improves workability and makes concrete / mortar denser and impermeable.
  3. Minimises porosity & capillary action.
  4. Reduces upto 10 % water with beneficial effect on the structure and strength.
  5. Reduces vapor transmission through walls and slabs .

APPLICATIONS

To make waterproof concrete / mortar used in

  1. External plastering
  2. Roof slabs and screeds
  3. Foundations walls, floors
  4. Terraces, bathroom walls / floors
  5. Tanks, reservoirs
  6. Water tanks, basements, swimming pools etc.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

POLYTANCRETE - IWL is added to gauging water of concrete / mortar mix at a rate of 200 ml per 50 kg bag of cement. It should not be added directly to cement . For further assistance, please contact our CONCRETE MATERIAL CONSULTANCY DIVISION ( CMCD).

TYPICAL ANALYSIS

  1. Appearance : Light brown colored liquid.
  2. pH : 11 to 13
  3. Sp. Gr. @ 30O C : 1.05 ± 0.02
  4. Chlorides : Less than 0.05 %.

COMPATIBILITY

Compatible with all types of cement It is also compatible with other SUNANDA’S CONCRETE ADMIXTURES, but should be added separately to the mix.

PACKING

1, 5, 20, 200 ltr. HDPE. containers.

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE

It has a shelf life of 12 months when stored in original containers in a cool , dry place.

HEALTH & SAFETY

POLYTANCRETE - IWL is non toxic, non hazardous . Usual precautions like wearing gloves and goggles when handling should be followed. Accidental splashes on skin and in eyes should be washed off with plenty of plain water.
