EPOXY ADHESIVES & COATINGS - Sunepoxy 368
Low Viscosity Epoxy Resins: Injection Type

DESCRIPTION

SUNEPOXY 368 is a very low viscosity epoxy injection grout material.

ADVANTAGES

  • Use of cement grout may not be efficient due to high shrinkage, low bond and tensile strength. Hence, very low viscosity epoxy injection grout often solves the problem and provides structural integrity.
  • High bond strength, good tensile strength, low viscosity and early curing.

COMPARISON

Viscosity max.  2000 centipoise 400-500 centipoise
Gel time 30 minutes 45-60 minutes
Bond Strength min 1000 psi 2500 Psi
Compressive Strength (7 days) min 8000 psi 10000 Psi
Tensile strength (7 days) min 5000 psi 6000 Psi

MIXING

  • SUNEPOXY 368 has a 3:1 resin : hardener volume based ratio.
  • Mix one batch at a time using a bucket and drill connected to a stirrer.
  • Half-way through mixing, stop and scrape the mixing paddle, sides and bottom of the bucket or transfer the contents to another bucket and continue the mixing. Mix injection resin for 3 minutes.
  • Do not over mix with high-speed drill, this can generate excessive heat.

INSTRUCTION FOR USE

Remove loose, disintegrated and porous concrete at cracks and joints and repair the same either with epoxy mortar or polymer modified mortar. Drill injection holes to a depth of 2 - 4 inches. The distance of injection points depends upon width of the cracks, extent of damage and dimensions of structural elements. Fix the nipples and clean all the loose dust particles from the cracks and holes by blowing compressed air through all the nipples in succession. Inject the mixture of epoxy resin and hardener by suitable pump at pressure of 50-100 psi.

PRECAUTIONS

All necessary precautions for handling and storage of epoxy should be followed including safety of health and equipment.

PACKING

1, 5, 20 kgs. in HDPE / MS containers.

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE

It has a shelf life of 6 months when stored in original packing in a cool, dry place.
