INTERIOR APPLICATION PRODUCTS - SUNEPOXY 378 SL
Two Component Self Levelling And Broadcast Flooring

DESCRIPTION

SUNEPOXY 378 SL consists of 100% solids epoxy, self-leveling mixture that can be spread with a V-notched squeegee or trowel. This highly flowable epoxy rich system provides an extremely dense, smooth, level floor finish which provides the ultimate in cleanliness and sanitation. It has very good chemical resistance, superior resistance to wear from abrasion and excellent impact resistance. SUNEPOXY 378 SL flooring may be sealed with a top coat to further enhance abrasion resistance, gloss retention, and non- skid properties. SELF LEVELING flooring is a broadcast system of selected aggregates. or slurry system.

TECHNICAL DATA

Mixing ratio
: 2 parts of resin SUNEPOXY 378SL and 1 part of hardener H-78 by volume
Pot life : 30 min.
Drying Characteristics : Touch dry 6 hours Hard dry for service 24 hours Full cure 7 days

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

1. Slurry System:

1. Surfaces must be dry and free from all foreign matter such as dust, grease and dirt etc. Weak laitance and loose or flaking material must be removed by 'grit' blasting or wire brushing. Due to the porosity of substrates having an effect on the structure of self levelling systems, it is important to apply a primer to the substrate in order to seal it. Primer Sunepoxy 478-P has been specially developed for this purpose.

2. Mixing:  Empty the entire contents of H-78into Sunepoxy-378 in a suitable mixing vessel and stir for a 3 minutes to obtain a smooth free flowing mix. Add graded quartz sand and mix for another 3 minutes (Contact our Concrete Materials Consultancy Division for additional information on quantity and gradation)

3 Application: Having allowed the previously applied Self-levelling Floor Primer to cure, pour the compound on to the substrate and comb out using a serrated trowel and ' spike' roller, which not only aids movement of the compound but aids de-aeration also. Apply at a thickness of between 3 - 5 mm depending on requirements.

2. Broadcast System:

1. Mixing:

Empty the entire contents of H-78 into Sunepoxy-378 in a suitable mixing vessel and stir for a 3 minutes to obtain a smooth free flowing mix

2. Apply first coat using brush or rollers.

3. Within 30 minutes after applying the first coat, hand broadcast Anti-Slip Aggregate in the desired amounts into the first coat, taking care to leave a 12" unsanded area on each edge for the next batch to overlap. Wearing spiked shoes, lightly back roll the aggregate into the coating so it is encapsulated. The best way to hand broadcast aggregate is to take small amounts at a time and cast it in a raining fashion which will more evenly disperse the aggregate into the epoxy film.

4. After overnight curing, remove loose aggregates by broom.

5. Apply seal coat of SUNEPOXY 378 SL.

6. All equipment to be immediately cleaned with solvents - xylene, toluene etc.
