Wazirabad Bridge Project:
Wazirabad Bridge, constructed in 1959 to cater to the water needs of Delhi, this barrage spans a length of 1,491 feet.
The Wazirabad bridge serves as a weir over the Yamuna River in the northern part of Delhi, under the jurisdiction of the Delhi government.
Positioned on the right side are six under-sluices, each measuring 60 feet, along with a spillway featuring 17 bays, each of 58 feet.
The spillway’s top sits 4 feet higher than the under-sluices. Both upstream and downstream, a concrete floor and a flexible apron contribute to the structure’s design.
