ACI Middle East Student Forum
The American Concrete Institute organized the first ACI Middle East Student Forum in collaboration with the ACI UAE Chapter and several student chapters from 6 countries.
Khaled Awad, the past president of ACI, served as the Honorary Guest and keynote speaker at the event.
Ishita Manjrekar, our Director and a member of the ACI Board of Directors, delivered a motivational and inspirational speech to the participants.
The one-day virtual occasion brought more than 100 students and professors in the concrete products and structural design field together to discuss the accomplishments and obstacles in the concrete market.
The previous and present ACI Middle East & North Africa Fellowship winners, Nancy Kachouh and Siham Al Shanti shared their backgrounds as students and how ACI is assisting them in advancing their professions.
The ACI also extended invitations to Student Chapter leaders, requesting them to give presentations about the activities and competitions their chapters are presently focused on developing.
As part of the event, the ACI awarded one student a one-year subscription to ACI University. ACI University is ACI’s digital learning resource. It offers on-demand access to a wide range of topics on concrete materials, design, construction, and repair.
