Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited Project:
Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd (RFCL) came into existence on February 17, 2015, to set up a natural gas-based ammonia urea complex along with offsite and utility facilities to construct a 3,850 MTPD urea plant and 2,200 MTPD ammonia unit at Ramagundam, Telangana.
RFCL is a joint corporation of National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), Engineers India Limited (EIL), and Fertilizer Corporation of India Limited (FCIL) (Promoters) with 26% equity each by NFL & EIL. FCIL has been granted 11% equity in terms of CCEA approval, and Telangana’s government has agreed to contribute 11% equity.
On March 22, 2021, RFCL announced that it would begin operating the Ramagundam Unit commercially during the financial year 2022–2023.
RFCL has cumulatively produced 490633 MT neem-coated prilled urea and dispatched 497512 MT neem-coated prilled urea and is contributing to reducing the gap between supply and demand in the country.
The Application:
Sunanda Global provided environmentally safe epoxy resin coatings with chemical and abrasion resistance properties to prevent corrosion and deterioration of concrete surfaces for Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited.
After submitting and creating a site mock-up, they approved the product, and the team successfully applied it.
Conclusion:
Sunanda Global’s epoxy resin coating is a zero-VOC product free of toxic materials like coal tar, pitch, and aromatic hydrocarbons. It makes an environmentally safe option that does not pose a risk to human health or the environment.
The product of Sunanda Global used for this project is an add-on value system acting as an impenetrable barrier providing superb protection against the underground atmosphere, which is particularly important in the context of a chemical and fertilizer plant.
Sunanda Global provided the products on time by taking proper estimates from the contractor.
Therefore, the project got completed within the given schedule. The solutions of Sunanda Global satisfied the client.
