CONVENTIONAL APPROACH
  • Laying of AAC blocks using block fixing cementitious mortar.
  • Cracks developed in the blocks as forces are not transferred from the AAC block to the AAC block below, given that the AAC blocks and cementitious mortar have differential coefficients of expansion and contraction.
  • These cracks will not develop if the same AAC blocks are placed loosely on each other.
  • The forces will now be transferred from one AAC block to the block below.

  • POLYALK SUPER BOND U is a unique single-pack polymeric solution to be used as a bonding agent for Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) blocks to (AAC) blocks and Cement Concrete (CC) blocks masonry where there is a shortage of good quality sand and water. It offers excellent bonding strength without the need for commercial cementitious joining materials. This system is used to nullify the need for water curing.

AAC/CC Blocks are fixed using cementitious jointing mortar, and its main component is sand.AAC Blocks are fixed using customized polymeric joining adhesive - Polyalk Superbond U.
Good quality sand is difficult to source consistently in the current scenario. As a result, sand is sourced from different locations leading to non-uniformity in the quality of the final product.Uniformity in the quality of the product is maintained as it is polymer-based material manufactured by Sunanda.

Simple steps to apply Polyalk Superbond U
Clean the surface

Make the surface clean of loose particles, dirt, dust, oils, and paints, etc by wire brush, etc. Remove all laitance from the surface.

Apply the coat

On the entire clean surface, apply a coat of POLYALK SUERBOUND U and cement (1:0.25) well-stirred by spray or ordinary cement brush.

Fill the Holes

Fill up all bug holes with the above slurry. Apply slurry generously on the entire surface without pinholes. Similar treatment to be given to other block surfaces simultaneously.

Placing of Blocks

Place coated area of one block over the coated area of another block immediately after application. Make sure both the surfaces are tacky or wet.
