The Jumeirah Lakes Towers Project:

RCC structures like the Jumeirah towers in Dubai are one of the tallest buildings in the world.

The Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) is a massive development in Dubai, UAE, with 80 towers.

Due to their height and exposure to a corrosive environment, the reinforced concrete structures of the towers are prone to corrosion, which can weaken the structures and reduce their lifespan.

Since the above structures are located directly on the seafront, the corrosion rate is very high.

The Application:

Sunanda Global provided galvanic sacrificial anodes to help with cathodic protection to protect the massive development of RCC structures of the above towers from a corrosive environment.

In Galvanic anodes, zinc is above aluminium and steel, providing a more reactive metal that will rust first instead of the protected metal structure. This process helps to prevent corrosion of the metal structure and extends its lifespan.

Conclusion:

The galvanic anode systems provided by Sunanda Global are self-regulating. They require no maintenance or adjustments, making them a cost-effective solution for protecting large structures like the Jumeirah Towers.

The installation of these anode systems has extended the service life of the Jumeirah Towers, ensuring that they remain safe and structurally sound for years to come.

In conclusion, Sunanda Global’s galvanic anode systems have provided an effective and low-maintenance solution for protecting the reinforced concrete structures of the Jumeirah Towers from corrosion.

This has helped extend the towers’ service life and ensure their long-term safety and structural integrity.
