The Jaipur Railway Station Redevelopment project is a significant infrastructure undertaking by North Western Railway, involving new building construction at the Jaipur Railway Station Redevelopment Site. Executed by Girdhari Lal Constructions Pvt. Ltd., the project required a durable and long-lasting waterproofing system to protect the basement area from groundwater ingress, moisture penetration, and leakage issues.
The Challenge
Below ground structures at infrastructure projects of this nature demand waterproofing systems that perform reliably under sustained groundwater pressure and moisture exposure. The basement waterproofing specification required a solution that could deliver complete protection against water and moisture ingress, withstand puncture and chemical exposure, and be installed efficiently in line with project timelines.
The Application
After evaluating the site requirements, Sunanda Global recommended SUNPRUFE, a pre-applied HDPE self-adhesive waterproofing membrane designed for below-ground waterproofing applications.
SUNPRUFE was applied as the basement waterproofing membrane across the underground structure. A pre-applied HDPE self-adhesive membrane, it bonds directly with the concrete poured against it, creating a complete barrier against water and moisture ingress without the need for a protection screed.
