A defining feature of Immensa is its emphasis on creating an elevated living experience through Sky Park and Sky Community spaces, multiple swimming pools, sports facilities, wellness areas, and premium clubhouse amenities. The residences are further enhanced by spacious decks offering views of the surrounding greenery and park. The project’s integration of luxury, nature, recreation, and everyday convenience positions it as an integrated lifestyle destination within Thane.
The waterproofing works were executed by Jailaxmi Enterprise and Basava Constructions Private Limited for client Kalpataru Limited.
The Challenge
The scale and diversity of waterproofing requirements across Kalpataru Immensa placed specific demands on the specification:
- Waterproofing of multiple areas with different surface conditions and requirements
- Protection of concrete surfaces against water seepage and moisture penetration
- Ensuring a seamless waterproofing layer without joints associated with sheet-type membranes
- Providing a flexible waterproofing system capable of accommodating movement and varying temperature conditions
- Ensuring proper adhesion to concrete surfaces
The Application
Sunanda Global supplied FLEXIROOF PU, a high-performance, liquid-applied polyurethane waterproofing system for the project. The moisture-cured membrane forms a continuous, rubber-like waterproofing layer with excellent flexibility and adhesion to concrete, making it suitable for demanding areas exposed to movement and varying environmental conditions.
The system was applied as a multi-coat membrane, enabling the waterproofing layer to conform effectively to the treated surface while eliminating the joints associated with conventional sheet membranes. Its application versatility and simplified installation process also helped optimise site execution, reducing application time and labour requirements.
