Prestige Finsbury Park, Bangalore – A Large-Scale Premium Residential Township
Prestige Finsbury Park is a landmark residential development by Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. at KIADB Aerospace Park, Bagalur, North Bangalore, strategically located near the Kempegowda International Airport corridor. Spread across approximately 25 acres, the township comprises multiple high-rise residential towers with modern architecture, landscaped podiums, internal roads, recreational facilities, swimming pools, parking areas, and access ramps.
The development consists of two residential communities, Hyde and Regent, with several towers rising up to approximately 20 to 21 floors and accommodating thousands of residential units alongside premium lifestyle amenities. Executed by Larsen and Toubro Limited, the project includes extensive RCC structures and large podium deck areas requiring durable, long-lasting waterproofing protection across a significant construction footprint.
The Challenge
The scale and complexity of Prestige Finsbury Park placed considerable demands on the waterproofing specification. Critical structures including podiums, swimming pool areas, and ramp sections required a system capable of delivering seamless protection across approximately 6,00,000 sq.ft. of waterproofing applications. The system had to provide excellent crack-bridging properties, resistance to hydrostatic pressure, and long-term durability across both horizontal and vertical RCC surfaces exposed to water ingress.
The Application
Sunanda Global supplied a high-performance polyurethane waterproofing system comprising SUNPRIME PU and ELASTOROOF PU for the full extent of waterproofing applications at Prestige Finsbury Park.
SUNPRIME PU was applied as the primer coat. A single-component polyurethane-based primer, it is designed to enhance adhesion between the concrete substrate and polyurethane waterproofing membrane systems. Fast drying and easy to apply, it ensures excellent bonding of the waterproofing membrane to concrete and asphalt substrates.
ELASTOROOF PU was applied as the waterproofing membrane. A single-component, liquid-applied, moisture-cured polyurethane elastomeric membrane, it cures to form a seamless and highly flexible waterproofing layer with high crack-bridging capability. Suitable for both horizontal and vertical waterproofing applications, it delivered seamless, durable protection across the podiums, swimming pool areas, and ramp sections of the development.
