Case study of Absa Bank Tanzania Limited

Absa Bank Tanzania Limited Project:

Absa Bank Tanzania Limited (ABT), formerly Barclays Bank Tanzania Limited, faced structural and waterproofing issues.

The Absa Bank Tanzania Limited authorities were irritated to work in such conditions. The bank formed an engineering committee for this problem.

The bank headquarters needed a much-required overhaul. The civil engineering committee appointed by the bank had approached several material consultants locally and globally too. But they wanted more from the solutions.

They needed a robust system for their leakage and corrosion problems. Finally, they met their particular requirements in Sunanda Global.

On surveying the site in Tanzania, Sunanda Global’s technical team proposed a complete waterproofing and repair solution on paper to the committee. They were more than happy with the solution offered by Sunanda Global.

Once they approved Sunanda Global’s solution, Sunanda Global’s expert team supervised the job from start to end.

The Application:

Sunanda Global addressed a multi-step approach to address the issue, which included the following steps:

  • Sunanda Global’s rust remover removed the rust from the structure.
  • Cracks were found and filled through Sunanda Global’s crack filler materials.
  • The structure was coated with Sunanda Global’s polyurethane coatings to protect it from corrosion.
  • The walls, terraces, beams, and columns were coated with Sunanda Global’s waterproofing materials to make the structure last longer against dust, rain, heat and cold, etc.

By using a combination of these products, Sunanda Global was able to address the issue of corrosion and waterproofing in the structure effectively. This process ensured a safe and healthy environment for the bank’s staff and customers.

Conclusion:

Thanks to Sunanda Global’s waterproofing solution, the bank’s structure became a waterproof and moisture-free environment for the future health of the working staff and the building itself.
